After-Baker: I spent 4 years in the Air Force after high school, then went to the University of Georgia and graduated from Northwestern University and did graduate work at University of Chicago. Was a vice president at Harris Bank in Chicago and worked there for nearly 40 years. Married Marie Beranek in 1962, still married, have 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren. Wrote a book last year titled "On The Road To Santiago" about my walk (500 miles) across Spain. Am now retired.
