I was born Betty Jean Overby but never used Betty. I was always Jean until I went to Baker and my friends and everyone on my school bus nicknamed me "Horse" because of my riding horses everyday. I even missed the Jr./Sr. Prom to go ride in a rodeo in Florida. I married Dennis Jackson Harron a First Lt. in 1958 in Ascheffenburg, Germany. He retired after 30 years of military service with his last assignment here at Ft. Benning. We are now selling real estate for Coldwell Banker, Kennon, Parker, Duncan and Key Realtors. We have 5 married daughters, 11 grand children and 1 great grand child. I am very envolved in community volunteer work as I have always been. I do Calligraphy, oil paining and other craft items. We are both heavily envolved in Wynnbrook Baptist Church. I also attend Christian Women's Club which I helped found in 1978 on my return from a second tour in Germany. I sit on the Advisory Council for the Christian Women's Job Corps, helping women on welfare achieve job skills and further their education. I still do historic tours of Ft. Benning especially "Riverside Plantation" the Commanding General's Quarters. If you move back to the area please give me a call if you need help finding a home.
