Melaine Page (Jensen), Class of '58

About-Baker: I lived in Baker Village and had attended Baker High from the 1st grade through the 8th, when my mother remarried in 1955 and we moved away. I also had an older sister and brother graduate from Baker High School. I remember skipping school one day with Ruth Puckett and getting caught. We never did it again!!

After-Baker: My step-father was in the service, so we moved around. I attended schools in Edgewood, MD, and Manhattan, Kan. I graduated in 1958 and moved to Clearwater, Florida. I married my first husband in 1960. We had three children, one daughter and two sons. I worked for quite a few years for Western Union. Then we divorced in 1973, and I moved to Atlanta for a short time. After moving back to Tampa, Florida, I met my present husband, and we have been married for 21 years. My daughter has one son, our only grandson. My husband is retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years and now works for a wholesale paint co. I have been a legal secretary for over 30 years and plan to retire September 1, 2002. I am a breast cancer survivor, and am doing well. I love all kinds of quilting and enjoy being with my grandson, Alex.
