Band was the greatest.
So many of my high school friends had also been grade school friends. The diversity of our students was great - having friends in the military I think was one of the most enjoyable facets of being a Baker student even though at that time it only lasted a couple years.
After-Baker: Married right out of highschool to another Baker graduate - Charles Ray - we had three wonderful children together, two boys and a girl. Divorced after moving to South Carolina. Met my current husband in Columbia, SC. We moved back to Georgia for about five years and then decided to move to the "beach" - Myrtle Beach, SC. Between us we have six children and 10 grandchildren. Sorry to say Charles dies from cancer several years ago. We have children in Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina. My husband, Jack, recently retired. Not me. I work for a construction company in Myrtle Beach.
I still love reading, working in the yard, used to like golf until we moved here. It's like so many things you enjoy it until it's right under you all the time - same goes for the beach. My grandchildren are the loves of my life. They are all unique. Well, that's enough.
