Thomas Sowell, Class of '65

I was an Army brat and came to Baker after my senior year had started so there was not time to get involved in very much. I enjoyed going to all the sporting events and friday night sockhops. Probably my most memorable moment (after I think about it for 30 years) was on January 22, 1965 at a sockhop when I met my future wife, Linda Stewart.

After graduation I served in the Air Force from July 1966 - July 1970. I married Linda Stewart, class of '66, in Sept. 1966. After leaving the Air Force I became employed by the former Western Electric who changed their name during th e divesture to AT&T and in a few months will change again to Lucent Technologies. I am currently an operations supervisor for them. My wife and I have one beautiful daughter, Crystal, who is 16 and will be a junior at Harris Co. High this fall. The thin gs that I enjoy most are spending time with my family and working with the youth in my church. My greatest ambition at the present time is RETIRING, hopefully with good health, and doing some traveling.

July, 1996
