Deborah Valentine has worked in the field of communication for over twenty years. Her clients range from MetLife to the Ritz Hotels. In addition, she serves on the adjunct faculty of the Goizueta Business School of Emory University.

She has served on the Board of Directors of the Georgia Speakers Association and was a founding member of the Educator's Professional Emphasis Group of the National Speakers Association. Before moving to the Atlanta area, she spoke yearly at the Illinois State Gifted Conference in Chicago and served as keynote speaker for the Stonington Conference. She has presented research at the annual Conference on Writing at Georgia State University.

In 1986, she founded Valentine Productions, a privately held company that produces and distributes audiotapes, books and videos for families. Her products have been featured on CNN's "Travel Guide," and in national newspapers such as "The Washington Post," and "USA Today."

She'a written over 500 feature and news articles and is the author of four books for parents and children. The manuscripts of two of her books were selected for the de Grummond Literature Research Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi. Her new book, CrossTalk: Communicating in a Multicultural Workplace, co-authored with Dr. Sherron Kenton, will be released May of 1996 by Thomson Executive Press, a division of ITP.

She and her husband, Howard, live in the Atlanta area.
