Best moment was the graduation trip with some good friends to Daytona Beach - I couldn't have done better with the great friends I made at Baker. Jack Vardeman (68) was my Best Man in my wedding four years later.
After-Baker: I departed Baker for Texas Tech and never really came back. I graduated from TT in '72 with BS in Phy. Edu. and minor in History. Never really got to use my schooling as I spent the next 24 years in the Army. Retired as a LTC and live in Leavenworth, KS now. I retired and went right to work for Sprint PCS and I manage function and strategic operation for over 350 retail stores accross the US and Puerto Rico. I married in 1972 to Linda Schantz (TT'72) of Lubbock Tx. we have a boy and a girl that are both in college. Scott the oldest, is about to graduate from K State with a degree in ME and Kellie, our daughter started her first year at KU. She is on the school rowing team and an avid sports nut. Since living in Kansas, I have really caught the Pheasant and Duck hunting bug. Linda has become a certified Master Gardener. WE are enjoying the non-military very well but it is different.
