Contact information for Caroline Baker Lions onlyI was in the band and several other clubs/organizations.
I graduated from Columbus College in June, 1973, with a B.S.Ed., and got married 2 weeks later to another Baker graduate, Doug Shafer. I began teaching immediately in Muscogee County in a special ed class, had our daughter in July, 1974, and quit teaching the following year. I had our son in December, 1979, and went back into teaching in August, 1985. Our daughter, Jennifer, graduated from Columbus High (only because Baker was closed during her senior year)in 1992, Columbus State in 1996, and began teaching in Muscogee County in a special ed class in August. She was married in April, 1997 (during spring break of course....LOL). She completed her Master's Degree in December, 2001. Our son, Bo, graduated from Spencer High in June, 1999. He currently attends Columbus Tech and works at the Stewart Community Home. Before I forget.....Doug is still with the Columbus Police Department....a Sgt. in the crime scene (ID) unit. Retirement is just around the corner...we can't wait!!!
