Thomas Mowery, Class of '73

The most important thing I did at BHS was to make many lifelong friends!

Received the Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Worked for the Georgia Tech Research Institute and the Turbitrol Co. in Atlanta, GA.

Moved back to Columbus in 1984 to help start a new company with fellow BHS alumni, Randy Marshall, Mark See, Mark Murdock, and Billy Deal. Later, worked for Pratt and Whitney Aircraft for several years.

Currently am an Assistant Professor and Department Chair for the Computer and Information Science Department at Troy State University, Fort Benning Campus. I also teach part time at Auburn University where I am working on my dissertation toward a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering.

I am divorced and father to Michael Cullen Mowery (born 1989), who resides with me.

I enjoy watching college football and basketball (especially Georgia Tech), riding mountain bikes, brewing beer, playing computer war games, and enjoying the outdoors.
