Best memory - ruining Ms Otero's day when I showed up for class the last week of school - we had a definite personality conflict.
Widowed, four children. Two his, two mine, ALL OURS. Two boys, two girls. Five grandchildren (four boys, one girl).
Received Bachelors Degree in Management of Human Resources from Faulkner University, Montgomery, AL in May 1996.
Retired Sergeant First Class, formerly in the Active Guard/Reserve (AGR) Program of the Alabama Army National Guard. Last job as a Senior Personnel Sergeant for the Military Personnel Office of the Alabama State Headquarters in Montgomery. The drive was a bear (160 miles round trip), now I am thoroughly enjoying doing what I want to do, when I want to do it.
My husband, Jim, worked full time for the Guard as a civil service (excepted) technician. He was the Organizational Maintenance Shop supervisor in Opelika. I lost him in a skydiving accident in September 2001. I have remained in the skydiving community; and recently (Feb 2005) earned my Senior Parachute Rigger Certificate. I work with Buddy Blue and the Opelika Skydiving Association at Moton Field in Tuskegee, AL, every weekend (weather permitting). Blue Skies!
