I was very active in the BHS band. I remember the yearly band trips we took. The trips to the Sugar Bowl and the Mardi Gras stand out most in my mind. The band was great because it was a mix of grades and we got to know people from other classes.
After graduating from Baker, I graduated from Columbus College with a degree in music. From there I ended up in Oklahoma (the state, not the musical) doing dinner theatre. After a year of doing that I moved to New York City and eventually got a masters and doctorate in music therapy at NYU. I worked in hospice for many years and eventually was an adjunct faculty at NYU and the research director of a small music therapy clinic called the Nordoff-Robbins music therapy center. I met my husband and moved to Boston to be with him. I now teach music therapy part time in a small graduate program in Cambridge, MA. We have two daughters Adele 2.5 and Kylene 6 months. My husband and I are avid windsurfers, though with 2 small children we don't get to do it as much as we once did!
