I only went to Baker for 1/2 my Freshman year and moved to South Carolina after my sophomore year. But the friends and memories I acquired in that short time, will last me a lifetime. I was an ROTC Cadet and not much more. Fell in love with and after a few high school romances married a fellow "Baker-ite" (Fred Lucas)and am still keeping him happy after 27 years of marriage. We have two children, Jennifer 25, who is a nurse and Christopher (Chris) 21, who is a culinary student at the University of South Carolina's Culinary Institute. We also have one very beautiful and very intelligent granddaughter, Caroline, who is almost 4. We all reside in Irmo, SC. I am a stay at home Mom/Grandma, non-profit volunteer and currently hold the position as Vice President on the board of directors of the Animal Protection League of SC, the only "no-kill" shelter for abused and abandoned animals in the Midlands of SC. ( www.aplsc.org ).Fred is a Shift Supervisor at the VC Summer Nuclear Station for South Carolina Electric & Gasand has been with the company for over 23 years. We love and follow the USC Gamecocks. Football season is what we look forward to. The "Spurrier era" has begun.... We also enjoy spending time in Charleston, touring lighthouses and family skiing trips out west.
