"Lion's Pride"...Damn ! That felt good. Who knew that my days at WBHS would lead to me still doin' the radio thang almost 25 years later !!!
While a lot of you went to football games on Friday nights, I was hard at work developing my skills at what was WVOC-FM (V-103). I then had the opportunity to do my thang at WCGQ. I was then given the name "The One". I still don't know why to this day. I left Columbus for awhile as part of a plan to bring what was "KISS - FM" (WNKS)to town. When Kiss was sold, I left Columbus for good.
I had the opportunity to return in December of 2001 when I was approached by WFXE (Foxie 105) but it wasn't the right move at the right time. Now I'm back in Louisville, Ky. as the Program Director of two radio stations; WGZB (B-96) and WBLO (Hot 104). B-96 is an Urban Contemporary (Mary J. Blige, Luther Vandross,etc) )and Hot 104 is CHR/Rhythmic (Ja Rule, Ludacris, P. Diddy). I also have the distinction of being the first in the country to play anything by "Nappy Roots" (AW NAW HELL NAW, yeah I up and did it) I've got a nice plaque on my wall to celebrate and the fellas mommas LOVE ME !!

My even BIGGER achievements include being a married father of four. My wife Dawn keeps me seriously grounded because she could care less about the radio thing. My kids; Yane'a (10), Aaron (9), William (4) and Caitlyn (2) make sure I keep it real too.
