As a faculty member from l962 until l967, I taught English IV. I most enjoyed being a Class Sponsor for several years; many of my memorable moments came from graduation events such as Class Day l964. I was also the Civinette advisor.
After teaching Shakespeare to Baker seniors for several years, I married and moved to Hawkinsville, a small town in middle Georgia. My husband joined his family in its pecan business.
When our daughter was three, I had twin sons so "retiring" from teaching became a necessity! After three years of teaching English, my daughter Margaret also "retired" to become a full time mother to three of my four grandchildren. They live in nearby Macon. My sons,David and Richard, own several Zaxby's in Montgomery,AL; Richard has just become a new father.
Being chairman of the library board, among other things, keeps me busy. I continue to enjoy reading, playing bridge, and traveling. I would most enjoy reading about and hearing from YOU!
