The Class of '58 now
has a nearly complete class roll online, thanks to Elva Griner Sherwood
'63.
This completes the classes that graduated from Baker. We still need to
work on the classes of 1991 to 1994.

Updated June 6
Disk Crash!
The @Baker server suffered a disk crash on April
27. We are in the process of rebuilding and recovering. Here are the
problem areas:
- Sign-Ins: Sign-ins after July 20, 1998 aren't here.
Most of them are backed up and can be re-entered. Some will need to be
resubmitted. As soon as we get that sorted out, there will be info here
on whether to resubmit.
- Mailing lists: Updated June 6 The mailing
lists are back in operation. If you were a member of a list and you
e-mail address has not changed, you have received e-mail explaining how to
rejoin the list. If your address has changed, I don't know how
to get in touch with you. To rejoin a list, send a "subscribe" message to
the -Request address of the mailing list.
- Updates: If you sent in updates, including e-mail
changes, after July 20, these have been lost. Please hold off
resubmitting them.
- Search and Sign-In Pages: These don't work yet;
there's some programming that has to be recreated.
That's where we stand. There is a small amount of good news: The
software on @Baker is completely up to date for the first time since
1995, and the new disks are bigger and faster than the disk that crashed.
Several of you have written offering to contribute money. Thank you
very much. It's heartwarming to find that you value @Baker that
much. However, the expenses of the recovery were relatively modest (less
than $500) and paid for by the Class of '65, so contributions aren't
needed.
